We travel to events and festivals across Oklahoma meeting all kinds of wonderful people along the way. I hope you will take time to say hello when we are in your area, and let us know how you like our hand made soaps. At the OSU-OKC Horticulture Pavilion 400 N. Portland Ave. in Oklahoma City Concluding Winter hours of 10:00am – 1:00pm We're one of only two Oklahoma farmers' markets (used to be the only one!) that continue throughout the whole year. Winter Market hours continue through April 10th before returning to standard summer hours. Even in the winter market we still have some produce, plus the cheese and yogurt, fresh buffalo and grass fed lamb, handcrafted baskets and soaps, and everything else that makes the market a great weekly event. Come see us at the market. Thanks. http://www.osuokc.edu/farmersmarket/ Expansion to Spring/Summer/Fall hours of 8:00am – 1:00pm on Saturday, April 17, 2010,through October 16 Don’t forget about the new times! We all have to get up earlier starting April 17, but that’s when the market grows and gets really exciting. There will be more vendors as the growing season progresses with all the seasonal goodies coming on line. The berries, the hot peppers, the corn, the fresh field grown tomatoes…wow, nothing like eating with the seasons. Don’t forget, it’s all local Oklahoma grown. Be a localvore--or locavore. The New Oxford American Dictionary chose locavore, a person who seeks out locally produced food, as its word of the year in 2007. Come support your neighborhood Farmers’ Market. Be proud to be a localvore! Wednesday Afternoon Market in OKC The Chesapeake sponsored market is back again this year. However, it’s moving back a day this year from Thursday to Wednesday. Come to the Wednesday Farmer’s Market from 3:00pm until 7:00pm at 63rd and Western in NW Oklahoma City. It’s in a parking lot just west of the intersection, directly south across 63rd Street from Mamasita’s restaurant. This market is generously sponsored by Chesapeake Energy (which also owns the parking lot). There are permanent tents anchored to the pavement, there’s plenty of parking for all and it’s got great access and view from heavily trafficked streets. The first Wednesday will be April 21. Mid-week market used to be only a shadow of the Saturday market. However, that changed last year. It was a good season for that market and hopefully we’ll be there for many more to come. If you’d like to see a video about this market from last year, it’s viewable on the OSU/OKC Farmer’s Market website, bottom right of the page. http://www.osuokc.edu/farmersmarket/

33st Annual Midsummer Nights’ Fair
6th Annual Lavender Valley Acres Festival It may be a small lavender show in the middle of the wheat fields, but you sure wouldn’t know it. I guess this little festival doesn’t realize it shouldn’t be so popular being in southwest Oklahoma near Lawton. But hey, come on out and be surprised…again! Of course, it draws a lot of people from the Lawton area..not too many lavender doings around there, I guess! Last year some people made a nice day of it coming down from OKC. Music and food, vendors and plants--lavender, naturally. Lavender in Oklahoma...not as surprising as you might think. Come on out and give it a try. www.lavendervalleyacres.com
2010 Paseo Arts Festival We have people tell us that they like the Paseo Festival better than the big April Arts show downtown. I’ve heard it said that it has a friendlier more common-man sort of atmosphere. Well, whatever the reason, it’s a huge crowd pleaser. Come on down for the art--fine or otherwise, dance to the music, admire the oddities, and just have a great time. We’ll be located down at the south end of the street near where we were last year. Our booth space is a little west of where we’ve usually been, but you’ll find a lot more vendors and food concessions in our area. You have three days, three chances to enjoy the Festival. Don’t miss it. www.thepaseo.com/events/festival/paseofestival_call.html

31st Annual Brush Creek Bazaar, October 1-4, 2009 A wonderful time for the whole family in the park setting with the 1926 French Normandy historic log barn with ponds and fountains. This is one of Tulsa’s premier events with arts and entertainment for every taste. This is a unique show, very different from our spring events in Tulsa. If you’ve never been, you’re in for a delightful surprise. Come see us. http://www.brushcreekbazaar.org/
37th Annual Whimmydiddle Arts & Crafts
Festival
Our apologies to our customers in the Scott City Area, but
circumstances have forced is to bow out of Whimmydiddle this year.
Hopefully, next year will work out better for us. As a result, if
any of our friends & customers in western Kansas would like to place
an order on the website before October 15 we’ll add an extra bar or
two to their order at no charge.… that’s easier than trying to
figure the website to give a 10 or 15% discount! Thanks again.
58th annual Prairie Grove Clothesline Fair!
Festival in the Park, Will Rogers Garden Center
A fun time in the park courtesy of the Oklahoma City Council of
Garden Club’s annual “Festival in the Park.” Probably one of the
last plant sales around. The park and Garden Center are a frequent
destination for many people. Come on out and enjoy the hospitality
of the garden clubs and pick up some additions for your garden.

30th annual Arts Festival Oklahoma!
This year marks the 30th annual Arts Festival Oklahoma. It looks to be bigger & better than ever. Last year was the first year in the new location, but it worked out great. More bands & entertainers this time--there's performers like Edgar Cruz, the Byron Berline Band and of course the OKC Philharmonic on Saturday night. It's a long weekend, but one of the best shows we see and do each year. Check out the extensive festival website for all the info... http://www.occc.edu/afo/index.html
Seminole Made in Oklahoma Festival This is Seminole's first Made in OK festival. Like the organizers say, it's intent is not to generate big profits, but to have a great time for the community and for visitors. Our good friend Marilyn Stewart with Wild Things Nursery is one of the chairmen for the day, so we gladly jumped at the chance to help out her event. We're really looking forward to a fun day with friends and music, wine-tasting and food. Come on to Seminole, it'll be worth the drive. http://www.shawneesun.com/articles/2008/08/07/news/23ssc%20made%20in%20oklahoma.txt

34th annual Norman May Fair Arts Festival
Even if you did see the downtown Arts Festival in OKC the week
before, this is a different venue...perhaps more down to earth, more
everyday-people/family friendly. Come on by and say hi.
12th annual Jenks Herb and Plant Festival
This is a very nice show, well worth the time. If you missed Sand
Springs, come to Jenks; many of the same vendors do both. More than
100 booths with herbs, plants, spices and of course, soaps. Stop by
and see us. Thanks.
19th Annual Herbal Affair & Festival
Okay everybody, this is the big one. If you only go to one herb show
all year—or every ten years!—this is the one. Don’t let the 9:00AM
opening time fool you. It’s an outdoor show, customers show up at
7:00 or earlier pulling wagons or pushing strollers to get the
plants and bargains they know they’ll find. I don’t know why it’s
always been so huge and successful, it just always has. Vendors show
up from at least seven different states, it’s the largest herb show
in this part of the country. We wouldn’t miss it for the world.
Healthy Home & Wellness Expo,
This is the 4th annual Wellness show this group has held. We did the
first one and now I think we’ll give ‘em another shot.
Unfortunately, we’ll miss Brookside in Tulsa, but after all, this is
closer. There’s a lot of interesting items to see and do, we think
the turnout should be good. Come by and check it out.
An Affair of the Heart,
This is a big one…seven buildings and hundreds of vendors. We’re in
the Cox Pavilion which was the old bubble-top building before they
put a new roof on it, just on the west side of the space tower
circle. Admission is $6.00 that admits you to all three days. Even
if you don’t buy anything, it’s a fun day out just to come out and
see everything.

One of the finest Christmas shows of the season. Located in the nearly 100 year old Italian Renaissance villa in beautiful Woodward Park this is a show for anyone looking for the spirit of Christmas. Costumed Victorian carolers sing their way through the mansion while artists and crafters from a four state area feature everything herbal from vinegars, teas, spices and seasonings to live herbs, soaps, candles, planters and trellises. The Snowflake Cafe is open with a wonderful herbal lunch. Admission is free. www.tulsagardencenter.com/

18th Annual Herbal Affair &
Festival in Sand Springs Yes, this is the big one, the largest and finest herb show in the region. Here you’ll find every kind of herb and herb related product you can think of. Come listen to the speakers, sample the wonderful breads from the Mennonite ladies and see more varied herbs than you knew existed. Come early or use the free shuttle service to avoid parking problems. If you only go to one Herb Show, this is it. http://www.herbalaffairandfestival.com/
Herb Day in Brookside
Our apologies
to the hard working manager, Pat Kroblin, our fellow vendors/friends
and most importantly to our customers for not being at Brookside as
we had advertised and planned. Mother Nature's cold and wet
reception was enough to make us reconsider driving up from Choctaw.
It was very depressing for us here that Saturday morning, so we made
up for it by going over to Paseo and signing up for their Memorial
Day Show. We haven't done that one before. Nonetheless, we are
looking forward to a great day at Sand Springs. See you there.
